“Person-centered support for adults with disabilities and seniors across Alberta. Empowering independence with compassion, dignity, and safety.”

Our Story
Northern Skies Supported Living was founded in Edmonton by Tanya and Ray with one purpose: to create a safe, stable, and compassionate home for individuals with complex needs. We believe every person deserves dignity, respect, and the chance to grow at their own pace. By combining family-level care with professional standards, we provide support that is warm, consistent, and grounded in real human connection.
“Fully compliant with Alberta PDD standards."
Why We Started
After years of witnessing gaps in communication, stability, and quality within the disability and elderly care support system, we knew there needed to be a better option — one built on accountability and relationships. Northern Skies was created to offer exactly that: dependable, person-centered support that feels personal rather than institutional. Every decision we make is guided by safety, trust, and the belief that individuals thrive when they feel truly understood and supported.
“Trauma-informed and relationship-centered support”
What We Believe
At Northern Skies Supported Living, we believe in heart-forward care, strong relationships, and meaningful daily life experiences. We are committed to consistent staffing, structured routines, community involvement, and opportunities for independence. Our approach is rooted in compassion, professionalism, and the promise to deliver the same level of care we would expect for our own family.
“Staff trained in CPI / NVCI / First Aid."
“Northern Skies was founded by two people who spent years navigating the disability and elder support system. We saw a need for stable staffing, compassionate care, and truly individualized support — so we built an agency that puts people first.”
